Questions we get asked
The eight that come up most often, answered plainly.
Is the pass officially valid?
Yes. You get a genuine digital vignette registered to your plate in the national toll system, so the cameras recognise it automatically and there is nothing to stick on the glass. We are an independent service and we buy the official pass on your behalf.
Why is it more than the official price?
The difference is our service fee. It covers activation without the 18 day waiting period, an order that takes minutes and needs no registration, and a checkout and support in your own language. The official price and our fee are always shown separately.
How soon does it start working?
1 day and 10 day passes work straight away. 2 month and annual passes also work straight away with us, without the 18 day waiting period that applies when you buy from the official site. Confirmation arrives by email within minutes.
Does it cover Brenner, Arlberg or Tauern?
No. Those are special toll routes (Streckenmaut) and are paid separately at the barrier. The pass covers every other motorway (A) and expressway (S) in Austria.
What if I get the plate wrong?
Write to us straight away and we will correct it. Checking the plate once more before you pay saves everyone a message.
Who has to have one?
Every car and motorcycle up to 3.5 t using motorways and expressways in Austria, including a single short transit.
What does driving without one cost?
If you are stopped, a substitute toll from 120 EUR applies. Left unpaid, the fine can reach 3,000 EUR.
